Thai Chatpati Chakli
Today I am going to share Thai Chakli – a crunchy and delicious chakli made with rice flour. A perfect snack for the Diwali festival!
Ingredients
For Chakli Flour
Rice - ¾ cup
Channa Dal - ¼ cup
Urad dhuli dal - 2 Tablespoon
Poha - 15 Gram
For the Dough:
Oil - 1 Tablespoon
Thai Red Curry Paste - 4 Tablespoon
Thai Red Chilli Sauce - 1 Tablespoon
Sesame Seeds - 3 Tablespoon
Salt - to taste
Method of Making
1.Roast the chakli ingredients separately.
2.Cool and grind finely in a grinder.
3.Measure the prepared flour and take an equal quantity of water.
4.Keep water for boiling.
5.Add oil, red curry paste, red chili sauce, sesame seeds, and salt.
6.When water comes to a boil add the chakli flour and mix briskly in one direction.
7.Cover and steam for one to two minutes.
8.When the mixture has cooled moderately, start kneading it.
9.Add water if required.
10.Knead into a soft dough.
11.Keep covered with a damp cloth.
12.Put a portion of dough in the chakli mold and pipe the chaklis on a paper.
13.Cut it with scissors when desired size and repeat.
14.Form in batches.
15.Heat oil in a Kadai.
16.Deep-fry the chaklis till golden brown.
17.Remove and drain excess oil.
18.Store in air tight containers.
Your Chaki is ready to serve !!
