Kachi Haldi ladoo

Ingredients

  • Raw turmeric - 500 Gram
  • Ghee - 3 Tablespoon
  • Jaggery - 500 Gram
  • Pistachios - 50 Gram
  • Makhana - 150 Gram
  • Grated Coconut - 1 Cup 
  • Walnut - 50 Gram
  • watermelon seeds - 1/2 Cup 
  • Raisins - 50 Gram
  • Cashews - 100 Gram
  • Almonds - 100 Gram
  • Black Pepper Powder - 1 Tablespoon


Method of Making

  • First, wash and dry the raw turmeric thoroughly.
  • When the turmeric is well dried, 
  • Peel and grate raw turmeric. 
  • Heat 2 tsp ghee and roast dry fruits till slight crunchy. 
  • Take out and keep aside.
  • Grind coarsely almonds, cashews, raisins, walnuts, and lotus seeds. Keep aside.
  • In pan, heat oil and roast grated turmeric. 
  • Cook on a medium flame for 10-15 minutes till the raw flavor goes away and oil separates. 
  • Remove turmeric and keep aside.
  • Add jaggery and make syrup. 
  • Add remaining ghee. 
  • Continue heating until uniform consistency.
  • Stop heating. 
  • Add powdered dry nuts to the jaggery syrup. 
  • Mix well.
  • Add roasted turmeric to jaggery mix. 
  • Add coconut and black pepper. 
  • Mix well. Add whole roasted watermelon seeds. 
  • After adding jaggery, mix well immediately and prepare laddus.
  • Prepare ladoos from all the mixture and keep them in airtight compartment.
  • Drinking a glass of milk after eating a laddu at night provides great benefit in the cold.
